Common questions
Straight answers about pricing, workflow, revisions, and what it’s like to work with me as a remote video editor.
I work on a flexible retainer model rather than flat per-video or hourly pricing. That allows pricing to reflect the real complexity, creative demands, and volume of your work, instead of forcing every project into the same box. Most clients fall somewhere between $1,000 and $4,000 USD per month, depending on the type of content, complexity, turnaround expectations, and overall workload. I only give a fixed monthly price after the first project, once I understand your needs well enough to price the work fairly.
Because videos are not commodities. Every project is different, and each one comes with its own level of complexity, creative challenge, and communication needs. A fixed package may sound simple, but it often becomes unfair or unrealistic in the long run. Hourly pricing can also create the wrong incentives. If I work fast, I get penalized for being efficient, and if a project takes longer than expected, the client can end up paying more than they planned. The retainer model avoids both problems.
Yes. We start with what I call an “establishing trust” project. I edit one of your videos completely for free, with no watermark and no hidden fees. If you enjoy the process and want to continue, we move forward. If not, you still keep the finished video. If the first project goes well, we move into the initial retainer. This starts with a 3-month commitment, which gives us enough time to build a real workflow, understand your needs, and make the collaboration productive for both sides.
During the retainer, requested revisions are included at no extra cost. The goal is to make the process collaborative and stress-free, so we can focus on getting the video right instead of counting every round of feedback. If the scope changes significantly or new deliverables are added, we simply reassess and adjust the agreement as needed.
I work with both individuals and brands, and I’ve spent over 15 years in video production. My clients are typically looking for a long-term creative partner rather than a one-off editor.
Book a call with me. We’ll talk about your content, your goals, and whether this is the right fit. From there, we can start with the first project and build from there if it makes sense for both of us.
